1st Class Options for 2026

(Students will choose 2 different classes and will take

those same classes each of the 5 days of Kids College.)

Class sizes are limited and will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.

Class Times (1st and 2nd) are based on the teachers' schedule.

Babysitting (ages 10-14) Hands-on experience and practical tips focused on Basic Child Care, Safety and Emergency Response, Child Behavior, Age-Appropriate Activities and Business Leadership.

Baking/Decorating (ages 7-14 FULL ) Make simple foods and enjoy! YUM!! YUM!!

Balloon Sculpture (ages 10-14) Learn how to make animals and cool things with balloons, such as dogs, swords, flowers, and guitars!

Basic Woodworking (ages 7-14 FULL ) Learn basic woodworking skills while building a project of your own!

BBQ Grilling (ages 10-14) BBQ and sample a variety of meats and foods, learning various techniques and tips. A new item every day!

Card Games (ages 7-14) Learn how to play a number of card games including Spades Rule, Swoop and Trash!

Crafts (ages 7-14 FULL ) Make it, take it crafts, some recycled, and how to make these same crafts with your friends at home.

Crochet Amigurumi (ages 9-14) Learn crochet basics and make an amigurumi (small stuffed animal)!

Diamond Art (ages 7-14 FULL ) You will make several different items. Please sign up ONLY if you did NOT take this class last year.

Intermediate Rocket Building (ages 10-14) Build a more complicated model rocket. Weather permitting, rockets will be launched on Friday, during Kids College. (Permission form required.)

Knitting (ages 7-14 Cancelled ) Learn the basics of knitting! Students will learn how to hold their needles, cast stitches and practice knitting with their teacher.

Leatherwork (ages 7-10) Learn how to stamp leather and the basics of leatherworking while you make your own project!

Outdoor Games (ages 10-14) Learn how to play different games and then play them with your class! Games may include Cornhole, Disc Golf, and more.

Piano 101 (ages 7-10 FULL ) Start learning basic piano skills. Learn to play a song! (Bring a small keyboard if you have one.)

Rock Hounding (ages 7-14) Learn to find, identify, polish and display Michigan Rocks!

Rubik’s Cube 101 (ages 7-14) Learn how to Solve the 3X3 Rubik’s Cube and see many varieties of this popular brain teaser!

Weather Tracking (ages 10-14) Learn to read the skies from a real live storm chaser!
